Crushing Process Flow – From Raw Material to Finished Product

Primary Crushing Stage
All bulk dolomite materials from large storage silos are uniformly fed into the PE900×1200 jaw crusher through the ZSW600×130 vibrating feeder. The jaw crusher performs the primary reduction, breaking large dolomite blocks into smaller, manageable pieces. As a heavy-duty primary crusher, the PE series delivers exceptional crushing force and reliable performance even under continuous heavy loads, making it ideal for processing tough dolomite material.

Secondary Crushing Stage
After primary reduction, the material is transported by belt conveyor to a transfer hopper. From the transit silo, the stone is evenly distributed by inertial vibrating feeders to two PSG Series compound cone crushers operating in parallel. This dual-crusher configuration ensures efficient processing of the high feed volume and maintains consistent output quality. The PSG Series cone crushers are specifically designed for hard and abrasive materials, featuring a robust cast steel structure with reinforcing ribs, hydraulic adjustment and cavity cleaning systems, and spring-type iron release protection that allows uncrushable materials to pass without damaging the machine.

Screening and Classification Stage
Following secondary crushing, the material is delivered by belt conveyor to two 3YK2460 circular vibrating screens for final screening and classification. This dual-screen configuration ensures high screening efficiency and precise separation of the crushed dolomite into five finished product sizes: 0-5mm, 5-10mm, 10-20mm, 20-30mm, and 30-80mm. Each size fraction is then transported by belt conveyor to designated finished product stockpiles for storage and shipment.

Selecting the right stone crusher plant configuration depends on several critical factors. Our engineering team designs customized stone crushing plants based on:
Material type: Different materials require different crushing approaches:
Granite, basalt, and iron ore → Jaw crusher + cone crusher combination (jaw cone crusher configuration)
Limestone and medium-hard stone → Jaw crusher + impact crusher
River stone → Jaw crusher + cone crusher + VSI for sand shaping
Capacity requirements: We offer solutions from 50 TPH to 500 TPH:
50 tph stone crusher plant price → Ideal for small-scale projects
100 tph stone crusher and 100 tph stone crusher plant price → Medium-scale operations
120 tph stone crusher price and 150 tph stone crusher price → Mid-range productio

250 tph stone crusher and 500 tph stone crusher → High-capacity mining and quarry operations
Final product specifications: Desired output size and shape determine the need for additional crushing stages or VSI shaping.
Site conditions: Space availability, power supply, and mobility requirements influence whether you need a stationary rock crushing plant or mobile solution.
Our case studies demonstrate successful configurations for various materials and capacities. Share your project details and we will design the optimal jaw crusher plant or cone crusher plant layout for you.

Understanding the differences helps you choose the right stone crusher plant configuration:
Jaw Crusher Plant: Designed for primary crushing, handling large feed sizes (up to 1000mm) and high-hardness materials. Our PE Series and ZXC European Type jaw crusher plant units are the foundation of most rock crusher plant operations. They are ideal for the first stage of stone crushing plants.
Cone Crusher Plant: Specialized for secondary and tertiary crushing, producing uniform, cubical aggregates. A cone crusher plant excels at processing hard and abrasive materials with high efficiency. It is often used after a jaw crusher in multi-stage stone crusher plant configurations.
Jaw Cone Crusher Combination: This is the most common and effective setup for processing hard rocks like granite, basalt, and iron ore. The jaw crusher plant handles primary reduction, while the cone crusher plant performs secondary and tertiary crushing—delivering excellent product shape and consistent gradation. Many of our cases, such as the 200 TPH Philippines plant and 300 TPH Indonesia plant, use this jaw cone crusher combination.
For softer materials like limestone, a jaw + impact crusher combination may be more cost-effective. Our engineering team can recommend the optimal configuration based on your material characteristics and production goals.

Determining the right capacity for your stone crusher plant is crucial for maximizing ROI and avoiding over- or under-investment. Here's how to approach it:

Step 1 - Assess your market demand: Calculate your current and projected sales of finished aggregates. If you're supplying concrete batching plants or asphalt plants, consider their consumption rates. For mine or quarry operations, evaluate your monthly production targets and operating days.

Step 2 - Consider your raw material availability: Ensure your quarry or mining site can consistently supply enough feed material to match your rock crusher plant capacity. Over-investing in a 500 tph stone crusher without sufficient raw material is inefficient.

Step 3 - Factor in operating hours: A plant operating 8 hours per day needs higher TPH than one running 16-20 hours to achieve the same daily output. For example, a 100 tph stone crusher running 8 hours produces 800 tons per day, while a 50 tph stone crusher plant price option running 16 hours can produce the same daily tonnage—but with higher labor and energy costs.

Step 4 - Plan for future expansion: Many clients start with a 100 tph stone crusher plant price configuration and later expand to 200 tph stone crusher plant price or even 500 tph stone crusher as their business grows. Our jaw cone crusher combinations and modular stone crushing plants are designed with scalability in mind.

Step 5 - Match capacity to your project scale:

For small quarries, concrete recycling, or pilot projects, we recommend the 50 to 100 TPH range. This includes our 50 tph stone crusher plant price and 100 tph stone crusher price options, which are ideal for entry-level operations or projects with limited material volume.

For medium commercial aggregate production, the 120 to 150 TPH range is a popular choice. Many of our clients start with a 150 tph stone crusher price configuration to supply local construction and concrete markets.

For large quarries and road construction projects, capacities of 200 to 250 TPH are commonly selected. Our successful projects in this range include the 200 TPH three-stage aggregate plant in the Philippines and the 250 TPH granite crushing plant in Ethiopia.

For high-volume mining operations and major infrastructure projects, the 300 to 350 TPH range is ideal. Our case studies include the 300 TPH mountain stone crushing plant in Indonesia and the 350 TPH granite crushing plant featuring dual cone crushers.

For large-scale mining and mega infrastructure projects, we offer custom 500 tph stone crusher solutions designed to handle the most demanding production requirements. These high-capacity rock crushing plant configurations are engineered for maximum throughput and reliability.

Step 6 - Consult our engineering team: The most reliable way to determine the right capacity is to share your project details with us. Based on your material type, feed size, and desired output, we'll recommend the optimal rock crushing plant configuration and provide a detailed 200 tph stone crusher price or 250 tph stone crusher quotation tailored to your needs.

Whether you need a jaw crusher plant for primary crushing, a cone crusher plant for secondary stages, or a complete mining crusher plant system, Jiaozuo Zhongxin's engineering team will help you select the right capacity to maximize profitability while minimizing capital investment.
