Main structure of jaw crusher and precautions for replacing parts

A  jaw crusher mainly consists of several parts, including a fixed body, a rotating body, a safety device, and an adjustment device.

1. Fixed Body: The main component is the frame. There are two manufacturing processes for the frame: medium carbon steel casting and medium carbon steel plate welding. The welded frame adds multiple reinforcing ribs to the original casting frame and achieves the same performance as the casting frame through strict quality control and specific process requirements. To prevent severe wear on the side walls of the frame, protective plates are installed on the left and right sides of the crushing chamber, which can be easily replaced.

2. Rotating Body: Composed of the moving jaw, eccentric shaft, bearings, pulleys, etc., it is the main part of the jaw crusher for transmission and load-bearing.

3. Adjustment Device: This device is used to adjust the size of the discharge opening and control the output particle size. There are two types of jaw crusher adjustment mechanisms: elongated wedge type and top rod shim type, which are convenient and flexible, allowing for stepless adjustment.
  Before replacing the moving jaw wedge, please note the following:

1. Only trained and authorized personnel may perform the replacement operation.

2. Always disconnect the power supply to the jaw crusher before removing any protective devices or covers, or before replacing any parts.

3. Use lifting equipment with sufficient lifting capacity. Do not stand under or allow any other person to stand under the lifted or suspended equipment.

4. When disassembling and installing its components, safety precautions such as locking and tagging procedures must be implemented.

5. Sharp edges may be exposed when replacing components and consumable parts. Always wear protective gloves.
